Re: My week 3 critique
Requiem was on Showtime last night so I tuned into the last 2/3's and while I love that movie it gave me some weird ass dreams.
I can't remember most of it but I do remember being in front of a school and I was with 2 guys who were like.. foreign exchange students? even though they seemed American. We were gonna hang out for longer so when their ride pulled up (& I was smoking) they went over to the car and Leigh popped out of the drivers seat O.o
Pretty sure there have been some INTM dreams floating around my noggin but this is the first one I remember a good amount of (Rachums made a dream appearence when I first watched her confessional/video but it was vry vry short).
So Leigh was driving like a station wagon and was the "host family" to the two guys I was with. I kinda realized it was Leigh or someone who looked %98 like him but didn't say anything because well... it was all so strange. Then the guys come back from the car after being there for a few seconds and tell me the driver disliked me! Thought I was a bad influence or something. Yet that was the last of him in my dream. Not sure if he drove off or what but... ermm. Yeah.
Then my brother was there and all of his dreadlocks were gone.
Fin.

Re: My week 3 critique
I've been having a lot of weird dreams too lately.
And I can't imagine dreads or perming are either very good for your hair.

Re: My week 3 critique
My grandma was a hairdresser, and she always told me that perms are pretty much one of the worst things for your hair because of all the chemicals in the formula. Perm solution can actually cause longterm damage to your skin as well as your hair (because to perm it is essentially to damage it).
However, dreads aren't so bad. The teasing definitely causes a bit of breakage, but once you have the dreads, as long as you use the proper shampoo, your hair is fine. You at least save on the daily damage of brushing, blow-drying (which I rarely do) and ironing (which I almost NEVER do). The removal process, however, can also cause quite a bit of breakage.
I'm currently working in a head and hemp shop, and we sell hair products for people with dreads. They're actually really great products because they're all natural!
