SHOOT #3- NO WAY HIGHWAY

from Oyster Magazine, 2008.








This is our first edgy editorial shoot- you will be a lonely homeless drifter on the road trying to catch a ride, or just wandering around. In hobo chic styling of course!

You will be outdoors, either trying to hail a truck/car or waiting around aimlessly in your loneliness. It doesnt need to be on a road, it can be in a field, the beach, a forest etc. Think about interesting poses, smokey eyes, messy hair, fierce expression!!! You should also have a prop, such as a trolley, wagon or rucksack with your "belongings". This is not a happy shoot- it is important that you convey the right mood and that is not only expressed with "fierce eyes" but with the styling, location and especially the lighting and contrast. Take as much inspiration as you can from the above examples. You may send in 8 shots for this shoot.

They are due in just SIX DAYS, which means they are due next TUESDAY! I dont need to tell you what will happen if they arent in by then! ;-)

I have a question about method here.

Now do you pick pictures as they come in and send them to the judges/post in the judge's lounge or do you wait until you have them all to send them so the judges have them all at once?

Just curious.

i usually wait until i have about 4 or so before i post any to the judges lounge...i find that if i do them at the end of the due date once i have all of them, then the judges take even longer to comment and score and it holds the comp back when i am waiting for people who may never send anything in.

Has everyone sent in yet?
