You're taking this critique very personally, and I'm just trying to tell you that the judges aren't trying to upset you. They're trying to help you. If they weren't trying to help you improve, they'd just post the call-out orders and leave it at that.

Okay i got it, i have to be as normal as everybody and change the way i am, gotta be rude and spat in the next photoshoot? WAKE UP! It's not about posing profile, even in the jungle, i can act like tarzan, but i'd still look like Jane!

Wow dude you are taking this too seriously. I never said that I don't like your look, I even said you're one of my favorites. My main complaint was the hand, not your face. The judges said I looked feminine twice in my cycle and I didnt take it the wrong way, same thing with Mikiel last cycle. I'm not trying to get personal.

AJ, for what its worth... they called me androgynous last cycle too. I didn't take offense though, cuz my face is feminine too I just took bits from what other people did (IE Mikiel lol) to "make it work" in my photos. The best advice I can give you is to take some of the judges advice and mix it with something you would normally do. That way you can shut them up, and still maintain some of your artistic integrity lol Real models (as far as Tyra tells me) have to please the client at the end of the day, so maybe consider the judges "the client". It helps.

I completely agree with Bree about styling yourself and looking for things that will compliment your look. You really shouldn't take the critiques so personally either. IMO people who take the critiques personally tend to get eliminated earlier, b/c they start to over-analyze their photos/performance.

and its all for the wrong reasons. aj, u remind of quinn from glee. ur a really pretty boy and theres nothing wrong with that. like bree and johnny tried to explain i dont think thats what the judges meant. just, in simple words: if ur gonna go for that look thats natural for you - do it completely. and if not, don't. i personally didnt find the picture very wow, and not because you look like quinn, but because i felt it didn't work. stop being such a baby and do better next time. i don't care that you didn't like my comment either, and u didn't need to bitch about it. if i said that, just do better next time and shut me up. see if you can.

AJ, Im sorry you feel this way and I dont really wanna continue this along too much, but just to explain my comment-

I was not saying your femininity was negative AT ALL. I said I would like to see some masculinity in the future. At some point. It could be next week. It could be 5 weeks down the track. I wasn't trying to change you, I was just giving you a tip to try something different to prove your versatility. Of course, you dont have to and nobody is going to force you to, it was just a suggestion that I thought I would put out there and I am sorry it offended you, it was not my intention.

I just felt attacked 'cuz i didn't expect critiques about my feminine face and my hair but more about the picture, the connection with the camera and stuff like that. Olso JB's kept sayin' you didn't criticize that, when it's clear you did, even to make my results better next week, so i got mad. I still can't see the problem looking feminine but i'll take the advice.

Its not a problem and I never said it was. And as judges, we need to find things to talk about with your photo, we cant all just say, "Your eyes are nice". That would get boring and monotonous and then we would never see any variety from you guys

hmmm as I recall, a majority of people put AJ at the top of their predictions b/c he had a "pretty face". If you don't mind them praising you for your features, you shouldn't mind them criticizing how they photograph in ONE photo. At some point in the competition EVERYONE will receive negative comments. Laugh it off and do you, it will serve you better in the end.

Plus its not like anyone said you should be eliminated because you're ugly, or *cough* b/c your face is commercial and not high fashion *cough*.
